Refund & Shipping Policy

Refund policy

All purchases of original art and/or prints are final sale.

In the event that shipping was purchased in error and the buyer would like to pick up the order instead, shipping fees including taxes associated with shipping, will be refunded to the original form of payment, however, all original art and/or prints remain final sale.

Shipping Policy

Collectors/buyers are encouraged to contact the seller for a quote on shipping via the contact form, or by sending an email to tanialacaria@gmail.com prior to finalizing a purchase in the event that the buyer is unable to pickup in person and hasn't made personal arrangements for shipping.

Paintings can be shipped crated, ready-to-hang, or dismantled and rolled for a more cost-effective option (stretcher bars can be included or discarded depending on buyer's request to re-stretch the work with a profesional framer). Art that is dismantled and rolled will be protected with archival paper and sealed with bubble wrap to avoid humidity or water damage, but the artist does encourage buyers to unroll and lay the canvas flat in the waiting time between receiving the art and re-stretching the canvas to help prevent creases or unexpected moisture damage from developing on the painting.

The artist is not responsible for any incidents or imperfections that occur by professional framers during the re-stretching process. For local collectors, pick-up is available in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, address provided upon purchase.

The seller will provide various quotes with trusted shipping companies, and will also ensure safe packaging of art if the buyer would like to use a trusted courier or shipping company of their choice; however, if the buyer determines the shipping rate is cost-prohibitive after having made a purchase, the purchased painting, print or other products remain final sale.

Please note the collectors/buyer is responsible for charges associated with shipping and/or for providing arrangements for pickup. The buyer is not responsible for damage that results from the shipping process and highly encourages buyers to purchase shipping insurance. All art will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as well as a country of origin certificate to ensure NAFTA agreements are upheld for goods produced in Canada and additional duties are not charged to buyers in the USA. International buyers are responsible for covering standard duty charges.

The artist (or gallery) will facilitate the shipping/pickup process by obtaining various quotes, packaging the product safely and scheduling a pickup date at no extra cost.
